Your Hunter Valley Private Tour Visit the oldest and most famous wine region in Australia

Discover the famous Hunter Valley wine region and begin your tour with pick up anywhere that suits you. Your Hunter Valley private tour will be just you and your local driver/guide, travelling north over Sydney Harbour as you escape the hustle of the city for the relaxed surrounds of the Hunter Valley.

Regarded as the oldest and most famous wine region in Australia, the Hunter is one of the most famous and historic wine regions near Sydney, with over 150 wineries, producing some of the countries finest wines. Acclaimed for varietals like semillon, chardonnay, shiraz, verdehlo as well as local gin and beer producers, there is no shortage of tasting options.

Start the day at a time to suit with your private pick up from any location in Sydney, including cruise ship terminals or AirBnB’s. We’ll enjoy a coffee stop along the way in Brooklyn, Cessnock or anywhere on the way if desired before reaching our first winery in the Hunter Valley region. The wineries visited on your Hunter Valley private tour can be nominated by you and we can advise you on numerous local options based on your preference for varietals, production size and style.

Visit classic wine makers like Brokenwood, Tyrells, Tullochs or new innovative creatives like Vinden Estate or Usher Tinkler. We also work with smaller growers like Hanging Tree Wines and byo-dynamic producers like Tambourlaine. We tailor the day around your interests to ensure you get a real sense of what the Hunter Valley is all about.

Enjoy a sensational local lunch at one of the regions iconic restaurants like the acclaimed Bistro Molines or opt for a casual pub feed or private picnic amongst the vines. Relax and enjoy this stunning region and take in the uniquely Australian landscape, often seeing kangaroos in the wild and visiting numerous wineries before we depart for Sydney returning at approximately 6.30pm.

Can guests make suggestions on itineraries?

Absolutely! Our service philosophy is based around being highly flexible and accommodating. We can tailor a tour based on your general preferences or if you have specific places you would like to visit (or avoid) then that will be built in to your day. Just contact us before or after booking to discuss.

How many guests can you cater for?

What is the best location to stay in Sydney?

You are probably reading reviews on TripAdvisor till your eyes hurt trying to find the right Sydney Hotel. The good news is that you can to anywhere around Sydney regardless of where you stay, but it still worth thinking about where to be. Here are a few options:

Sydney Harbour: Stay near the harbour for great views, night time walks, access to ferries and close to icons like Opera House and The Rocks.

Darling Harbour: Great location for proximity to dining and shopping and a great choice for families and corporate travellers. Adjacent to some exciting new city precincts like Barangaroo.

City Centre: Better for shopping, close to trains, Hyde Park, cinemas and art galleries etc.

City fringe: Choose a hotel in Surry Hills, Potts Point, Darlinghurst or similar for a more ‘Sydney’ experience and mix with the locals.

Are children welcome on tours?

Yes, 100%. Most of our guiding team have children and we will happily look after families with children of any age. Tour schedules, pace and specific places of interest/fun for children can be built into any tour. Suitable car seats can be arranged if notice is given prior to the tour date.
