Royal National Park Tour Discover one of Sydney's best kept secrets.

The Royal National Park or ‘The Royal’ as it is affectionately known by locals is an undiscovered gem that is just a short 40 minute drive from Sydney, making it an ideal day trip option for adventurous travellers. The region enjoys fewer crowds and almost no tour buses and gives access to stunning coastal scenery, secluded beaches, ancient forests, the famous Figure 8 Pool, Wedding Cake Rock, EPIC swimming holes and much more.

Get up close and personal with koalas, kangaroos, wombats and many other Australian native animals. Enjoy morning tea and a swim in Summer at the beautiful Wottamolla Beach which is one of the best kept secrets in Sydney. Take 1 – 3 hour walk along towering sandstone escarpments with panoramic views down the south coast, or perhaps an optional swim below a waterfall in an absolutely idyllic fresh water swimming hole.

The Royal National Park tour is a great option for anyone who loves to connect with nature, hike, swim and be away from the crowded tour locations near Sydney. We can fully tailor your day to make it as active or as relaxed as you are and can add in a morning canoe on the tranquil Kangaroo Creek, a mountain bike session on some local trails, an epic hike down to iconic beaches or a bike ride right alongside the ocean.

Frequently asked questions

Can I choose a different vehicle?

Yes, absolutely. Although all vehicles will be modern with air conditioning our whole philosophy is to cater to our clients exact needs so if you would prefer to tour in something more exotic like an Audi, Porsche, Mercedes or luxury SUV then just let us know and arrangements will be made. Note that costs for this service will be factored into tour pricing.

Can guests make suggestions on itineraries?

Absolutely! Our service philosophy is based around being highly flexible and accommodating. We can tailor a tour based on your general preferences or if you have specific places you would like to visit (or avoid) then that will be built in to your day. Just contact us before or after booking to discuss.

How many guests can you cater for?

We cater for groups of all sizes from solo travellers in Sydney to couples, families and groups. We are licensed to drive vehicles that carry up to 24 people and we can cater for groups up to this size and even larger if at least 3 days notice is provided.

What are the best day trips out of Sydney?

Okay, so you are busy planning your perfect Sydney trip and wondering what day trips around Sydney to include during your stay. Below are some ideas to get you started:

The Blue Mountains: One of the most visited regions in Australia and for good reason. They are only 1.5 hrs west of Sydney and are a perfect day trip. Deep gorges and valleys, lush rain forrest, prolific bird life, quaint villages and amazing views at every turn.

The Royal National Park: Less than an hour south of Sydney and a true hidden treasure. Pristine Australian bushland, sparkling beaches, waterfalls, dramatic sea cliffs, scenic roads through towering forests and a laid back feel.

Southern Highlands: Close to Sydney and full of magical surprises, this region has wineries, stunning scenery, amazing local food, wildlife options and is free from large tour groups.

South Coast (Jarvis Bay): In my opinion this place is pure magic. Turquoise waters, white sand, dolphins, diving and vast coastal bushland make this place incredibly scenic.

Hunter Valley: 2.5 hours north of Sydney and a wine and food lovers dream. If you appreciate great wine then add this to your list for sure.

Port Stephens: Famous for its vast sand dunes, friendly local dolphins, beautiful beaches and relaxed coastal feel, this region is well worth considering.
